Power and Speed
Techniques should be explosive (using Kime).
Eyes should be focused ahead, not at the ground. Techniques should be confident and vigorous. Use a strong kiai on the last technique in a sequence in when performing kihon.
Hands and feet should finish at the same time. When sparring, do not start blocking before the technique gets near you. On the other hand, don’t leave it so late that you get hit.
Execute techniques to the optimal distance. Don’t over-reach or try blocking too near your own body. Be aware of your natural comfortable range (know how long your arm is). When sparring, make sure your attack reaches your partner but is focused so that they are not hurt.
